Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
Curriculum
The University of Colorado primary care sports medicine has two program tracks – the Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Emergency Medicine track and
Pediatric track. Fellows in the two tracks have majority of rotations in common. Each fellow spends a one half day in the continuity clinic. The curriculum is designed to meet all the ACGME requirements for Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship.
Curriculum activities include:
- One half-day continuity primary care at
- the Westminster Family Medicine clinic for family/internal medicine fellows
- The Children’s Hospital for pediatric fellows
- One shift a week in the Emergency Department at University of Colorado Hospital for ER fellows
- Primary care Sports Medicine at:
- Orthopedics
- CU-Boulder, University of Denver, and high school team coverage and
medical care
- Mass competition coverage (including the
Leadville Trail 100 mountain biking and
marathon)
- Sports nutrition
- Exercise physiology
- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Sports psychology
- Elective rotations
